You will be a knowledgeable addition to the team as an experienced Design Manager with a background in the architectural sector.
A typical day in your new role will involve:
Liaising with relevant parties produce and manage a design programme to satisfy design, manufacture and construction requirements.
Manage the in-house design team and external teams to ensure projects within specification- chairing design meetings and keeping records on progress
Be prepared to attend site visits if and when required use technical background to advise on suitability during concept stages including pre-tender
Immersing yourself in the world of attractions and bring to life concepts and branded experiences.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and will be responsible for taking projects from initial brief to concept stage, design for manufacture, and construction on site, ensuring projects are within specification, programme and budget constraints.
Seeking internal and external approval from stakeholders by implementing sample presentations that outline creative goals.
Seek feedback from design sign-off, produce production drawings, job sheets and cutting lists alongside an excellent in-house manufacturing team.
Minimum 5 years as a Design Manager, or Lead Designer across large scale Fit-Out and Joinery projects
Experience leading and managing a team of designers at mixed ability.
Experience of developing and implementing process improvements.
Knowledge to review technical joinery drawings fit for Production.
Experience of developing junior team members.
Scheduling work according to Project Programme.
Full proficiency in Solidworks and other design packages such as AutoCAD, REVIT etc.
