Despatch & Logistics Manager (Food)
Monaghan
Fulltime/Permanent
Monday - Friday Day Shift (40 hours)

Vickerstock are excited to be working in partnership with our award winning FMCG client who are a leading provider of high-quality food products, dedicated to delivering excellence in taste and nutrition. Due to a large factory expansion, we are seeking a Despatch & Logistics Manager to join the team.
Reporting to Head of Operations you will ensure the process of moving goods, manage the receipt of customer orders, assembly of orders from Production, and oversee their despatch from the premises, ensuring all required specifications are achieved and the right products are delivered to the right location on time. You will also manage and control the local fleet including compliance of legal documents.
Key duties (Further duties on full description provided on application)
- Plan, manage and evaluate despatch and logistics operations
- Deliver solutions to logistics/despatch problems
- Overall responsibility for all Despatch functions, coordinating goods in, accurate storage, picking and order despatch
- Responsibility for ensuring all orders are efficiently shipped on time, working to agreed KPI's and transfer schedules.
- Monitor stock movements
- Resolving any pick issues/stock shortages
- Conduct the final quality inspections on all outgoing warehouse stock
- Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs
- Optimisation of transport arrangements
- Monitoring existing despatch &logistic systems and make suggestions for improvements when needed
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
We are looking for
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in FMCG managing a team
- Strong people management experience, ability to motivate, guide, train, coach and develop people.
- Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to despatch/logistics such as import/export and customs regulations
