Estimator | Construction | Hybrid

Vickerstock are collaborating with one of Northern Ireland's most successful Mechanical & Electrical Building Service companies. Established over 40 years ago, they continue to grow and secure work across the UK & Ireland. Projects are across sectors such as, Healthcare, Education, Leisure & Commercial sectors and therefore now require an experienced Estimator to add to their Commercial Team.

Office based in Belfast or Ballymena office on a permanent basis with a hybrid working option available.

Your New Role as an Estimator

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of cost estimates, analysing tenders & documentation, ensuring tender bids are submitted accurately and on time, maximising profit and customer satisfaction as well as attending client meetings when required. Build professional relationships with clients and supply chain relationships.

To succeed

• The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years' experience within a similar role with experience working on JCT and NEC.
• A degree or 3rd level qualification within a construction related subject.
• Experience of single stage and two stage tenders. Successful of securing contracts within the Commercial or Healthcare sectors. Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, commercial awareness and negotiating skills are essential for this role.

Desirable - (But not essential, don't worry if you don't possess these skills just yet)

• RICS/MCIOB Qualification
