Vickerstock are working in partnership with a global manufacturing firm on the appointment of a Graduate HSE Advisor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to kickstart their career within Health, Safety and Environmental management, joining a business experiencing continued growth and investment.

In this role, you will support the HSE function across both administrative and practical activities, gaining exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to the development of a strong safety culture and compliance with HSE standards.

In your new role:

  • Support incident management processes including accident reporting, investigations, and KPI tracking
  • Maintain and update HSE data management systems and records
  • Assist with the coordination of HSE training and site requirements
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and leadership teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date HSE information
  • Attend site meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Assist with confidential reporting, claims management, and HSE administration
  • Coordinate occupational health reviews with external providers
  • Support general administrative duties including purchase orders and invoice queries
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment across the site

What you will need to succeed:

  • Recently graduated (or due to graduate) with a minimum 2:2 degree in Environmental Health or a related discipline
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or above
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge or experience of data management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and manage changing priorities
  • High level of integrity and professionalism

Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):

  • Exposure to HSE tasks such as risk assessments or incident investigations
  • IOSH qualification or similar
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Previous placement or internship within a manufacturing or industrial environment
