Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading infrastructure and utilities organisation to recruit a HSEQ Graduate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate to gain hands-on experience within a busy, multi-site environment while developing a strong foundation in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality practices.
You will be supported by experienced professionals and exposed to a wide range of projects, playing an active role in promoting compliance, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to the development of a positive safety culture across the organisation.
In your new role:
- Support compliance with HSEQ legislation, standards, and company procedures
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on HSEQ performance and KPIs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HSEQ strategies and initiatives
- Carry out site audits and inspections, supporting both internal and external audit processes
- Promote awareness of customer and regulatory requirements across the organisation
- Support the delivery of HSEQ training, including inductions and toolbox talks
- Assist in developing a proactive safety culture across multiple sites
- Work alongside the HSEQ team to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Support continuous improvement activities across all areas of the business
What you will need to succeed:
- Degree in Health & Safety or a related discipline
- Full clean driving licence
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning
- Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with teams
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
- Previous placement or internship experience within HSEQ or a related field
- Exposure to ISO standards such as ISO45001, ISO14001, or ISO9001
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, or compliance activities
- Understanding of construction, utilities, or infrastructure environments
