Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading civil engineering and utilities contractor to recruit an HSQE Advisor.

Following a period of sustained growth and the successful award of new projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding HSQE team supporting a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and utilities projects across the South East region.

As an HSQE advisor, you will provide practical support and guidance across multiple project sites, ensuring compliance with legislation, company procedures, and industry best practice.

In your new role:

• Promote a positive Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental culture across multiple project sites
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSQE policies and procedures
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
• Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation, company standards, and ISO management systems
• Deliver toolbox talks, coaching sessions, and Health & Safety training to employees and contractors
• Provide practical advice and support to site teams and management on HSQE matters
• Maintain accurate HSQE records and documentation using the company's online management systems
• Monitor site performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Work closely with operational teams to promote best practice and drive compliance across projects

What you'll need to succeed:

• Experience within an HSQE, HSE, or Health & Safety role
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline
• Previous experience within the construction sector, ideally supporting live project environments
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation, HSQE regulations, and industry best practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Full Irish driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites

Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):

• Experience within the utilities or civil engineering sectors
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 management systems
• Previous experience delivering toolbox talks or site-based training
• Experience using electronic HSQE management systems
