Junior Quantity Surveyor | Magherfelt

Vickerstock are working with one of NI's largest infrastructural maintenance & renewal contractors for Translink and DfI Roads based in Magherafelt to assist on the development of their commercial team. Our client has scaled up on their project portfolio over the last few years, their success has been demonstrated in their ability to deliver on large scale projects such as Storm Drainage projects and major Road and Rail projects across NI. These opportunities have come from consistent growth and an increase in project development.

Your new role as a Junior Quantity Surveyor

In your new role, you will be reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, assisting the Commercial team to produce winning Tenders, preparing BOQ's, cost projections, risk analysis and overseeing contract management from Tender stage through to handover, Managing client and sub-contractor relationships. With the client and companies' interest in mind, resourceful forward thinking and negotiation skills are required to enhance profits and ensure successful, efficient project delivery.

What you will need to succeed as a Junior Quantity Surveyor

• This role is open to Graduates, placement year preferably within Civils I.E Water, Rail, Roads etc
• Ability to organise and liaise with both clients and sub-contractors effectively
• BSc Hons in a relevant construction or engineering subject
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
