Junior Quantity Surveyor
Vickerstock are to offer the opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland's most successful Civil Engineering and Building companies as a Quantity Surveyor. Established over 40 years ago, they continue to grow and secure work across the UK & Ireland and therefore now require a Quantity Surveyor to add to their Commercial Team. Your new company have built an excellent reputation of delivering high quality projects across the Healthcare, Education, Leisure & Commercial sectors.
You will be based in their Dungannon office on a permanent basis with a hybrid working option available.

Your New Role as a Junior Quantity Surveyor
Reporting to the Head of Quantity Surveying, you will be responsible for negotiation, site measure, review of contract documents, subcontractor procurement, payment applications, agreement of variations and final accounts. Also, you will prepare cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets to ensure successful, efficient project delivery. Travel to site will be required to review work completed and ensure all works carried out is within budget.

What you need to succeed

  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in Civil Engineering/ Waste water.
  • You will be commercially & contractually aware with a good working knowledge of construction.
  • Strong Estimating, communication and negotiating skills are essential for this role.
  • Additionally, you must have sound knowledge of contracts NEC3/4.
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or other relevant qualification within a construction related subject.
