Maintenance Electrician
Alternating shifts - 06:00-14:00, 10:00-18:00, 16:00 - Midnight
Monday - Friday

Vickerstock are working in partnership with one of Irelands leading food manufacturing firms to recruit a Maintenance Electrician for one of their sites in Dungannon
Our client has 14 sites across Ireland and the UK with around 4500 employees. The business supplies to retail, foodservices and manufacturing customers across the UK as well as customers globally.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Electrician:
- Complete electro-mechanical repairs to food processing, handling and packaging equipment
- Technical support for the plant facilities and services including compressed air, steam, refrigeration and the effluent plant
- Input into the computer system and carry out preventive maintenance routines and work instructions
- Fault finding
- Update the preventative maintenance management system including stores transactions and work carried out
- Ensure all parts are promptly ordered as required
- Responsible for completion of all planned maintenance routines both inside and outside of normal hours as required
- Utilization of all resources such as manuals, service contracts and external contractors to aid in breakdown recovery
- Supervision of contractors and acting as liaison person when required
- Observing all on site and legislative rules and regulations in terms of health and safety, food safety and environmental
As a Maintenance Electrician, ideally you will have;
- Experience with both electrical and mechanical maintenance within an automated manufacturing environment, ideally with some experience with PLC's
- Must possess a multi-skilled cross-skilled ethos with an electrical/electronic bias
- Electrical and mechanical process awareness, diagnostics, trouble-shooting experience gained in a high-volume food or beverage processing environment
- Relevant electrician qualification
- Experience of working in a high volume, automated manufacturing environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Open to new ideas/work practices with an understanding of the principles and tools of a lean manufacturing environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent fault-finding skills (essential)
- Computer literate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
