Manufacturing Engineer (CAD/CAM)
Greater Belfast
£38k - £42k
Vickerstock are working in partnership with our client, a well-established leading firm within aerospace design/manufacturing based in the Greater Belfast area to assist in the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer. Our client boasts a strong reputation for delivering advanced engineering services for the aviation and defence industries, with a focus on innovation, precision, and industry-leading technology.
Working hours - 8am to 4.30pm Mon - Thur & 8am - 1pm Fri.

Duties will include
- Develop CNC programs while designing and refining tooling and fixtures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Apply expertise in probing and in-process control systems, ensuring the release of detailed engineering documentation such as specifications, work instructions, and tool sheets.
- Oversee risk management for projects, utilizing structured problem-solving approaches like 3C and 8D, and providing training on new and updated systems to operators.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, fostering technical advancements and supporting cross-departmental collaboration with teams such as Production, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Address customer issues promptly and professionally, ensuring their concerns are resolved effectively and in a timely manner.
- Take part in cross-functional initiatives and perform additional responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth engineering operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting, with hands-on expertise in CNC 5-axis milling.
- A Higher National Certificate (HNC) or an equivalent qualification in engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
