Our client is an established, very niche, heavier engineering company who has a busy order book and a growth plan that reflects the interest and orders coming in from their international customers.

You would be joining a well set up Design and Development team of experienced engineers and will have all the support and direction you need to succeed and develop. This is a very full and rounded role. Full projects are taken from concept, right through development and design for manufacture. You can be based from their offices just outside Lisburn once training and initial induction is completed in their Dungannon site - After a few months, returning to their outside Dungannon site for commissioning of machinery, maybe 2-3 days a month - give or take.

Essential criteria for this role of Mechanical Design Engineer:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience within Mechanical Design Engineering
• A competency in 3D design - Solidworks, Pro Engineer / Creo, Solidedge or Inventor
• A relevant 3rd level qualification in an engineering related subject is preferred, however more years of relatable design experience will very much be considered
• Strong communication and people skills
