Mechanical Estimator | Hybrid

Vickerstock are proud to be working alongside a long standing Mechanical and Electrical engineering company who work across sectors such as Commercial, Education and Healthcare throughout NI, ROI and the UK. This company has developed a strong reputation through their ability to deliver on multi-million-pound contracts, Facilities management and other MEP projects. In recent years the have rebranded and expanded their teams and due to demand and contract awards and now have a number of Commercial roles available including a Mechanical Estimator.

Your new role as a Mechanical Estimator

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist the team by analysing technical Mechanical drawings to produce detailed take offs for a range of commercial and industrial projects, liaise effectively with Sub-contractors and suppliers to negotiate quotes, identifying any potential risks during the tender bid process, preparing schedule of rates, provide value enginering options, and handling tenders from conception through to handover when the contract is secured.

What you will need to succeed as a Mechanical Estimator

  • 3 years' previous experience in a similar role working on Commercial, Industrial or Residential contracts
  • Experience working solely on Projects between 500K - 1million
  • Mechanical knowledge including value engineering options
  • Ability to work as part of a busy estimating team
