Vickerstock are currently recruiting for an NPD Technologist on behalf of a leading food manufacturing business based in Cahir

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced NPD professional with a minimum of 2 years' experience within food manufacturing to join an established team, supporting the development and launch of new and upgraded products.

The Role

You will play a key role in managing new product concepts through the development process, from initial concept and trials through to launch, while ensuring food safety, quality and customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate samples, pre-production trials and first production runs
• Support product development from concept through to launch
• Manage ingredient and packaging development, costing and validation
• Develop and maintain finished product specifications
• Research food trends and new product opportunities
• Organise and lead taste panels and product benchmarking
• Liaise with customers to understand requirements and support commercial opportunities
• Work closely with Quality, Operations and Commercial teams throughout NPD projects
• Support problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Ensure NPD processes and documentation meet customer and best practice requirements
• Keep up to date with market trends, consumer expectations and food legislation

You must have a minimum of 2 - 3 years previous NPD experience within food manufacturing.

Working hours will be 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, happy to be flexible with start and finish times.
