Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business based in Dungannon to recruit a Production Planner.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating production activities, ensuring efficient factory utilisation and delivering exceptional customer service levels. Your day to day:

  • Prepare daily production plans and forecasts for slaughter and boning operations.
  • Coordinate factory resources including labour, facilities and packaging to maximise efficiency.
  • Develop commercially focused weekly slaughter and boning schedules.
  • Monitor production performance against plan and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled to agreed service levels.
  • Maintain and update forecasting data and KPI reports.
  • Work closely with production, operations and sales teams to optimise stock availability and minimise surplus inventory.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production functions.

Your essential ingredients:

  • Previous experience in a Production Planner role within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience within food manufacturing or meat processing would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong planning, scheduling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office packages.
