Vickerstock are delighted to be once again partnering with our client, a Food Manufacturing company dedicated to providing high quality products to maintain customer satisfaction on the appointment of Quality Manager for their site based in Tullamore.

With over 40 years in the food industry their product ranges have changed and diversified with new additions, flavours, and formats to continuously exceed expectations. As the successful Quality Manager, you will drive and deliver quality standards on site whilst managing the Quality Department.

What you will receive:

  • €41-45k per annum
  • Monday-Friday, 8.30-17.00

What your typical day as Quality Manager will look like:

  • Manage compliance of BRC, BORD BIA, HACCP, company, and customer food standards
  • Lead all site activities to prevent and control all non-conformance's.
  • Completion of internal, group and customer reports
  • Identify, review, and implement improvements of the QMS on a planned and systematic frequency.
  • Management of Internal Auditing Systems
  • Lead 3rd party customer and regulatory audits for the site
  • Engage with the NPD and Quality teams ensuring that product development trials and activities are introduced and managed in a controlled fashion.
  • Drive and promote a culture of Quality excellence and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Develop and deliver a programme of continuous improvement initiatives that delivers on Quality and organisational objectives.
  • Manage and maintain the ISO14001 system in the company.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Third level degree qualification in a scientific food discipline and equivalent experience within the food industry.
  • Knowledge of auditing, quality standards and systems, quality management techniques such as HACCP, Process Control, and knowledge of food legislation.
  • Familiarity with retailer specification management platforms an advantage.
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills Self-motivated and an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships between the quality function and other functions.
  • Competency in MS Office to include word and excel.
