Site Supervisor

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading specialist contractor on the appointment of a Site Supervisor for a major project based in Vaasa, Finland.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing business delivering complex, large-scale MEP solutions across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Supervisor will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of works on site, coordinating day-to-day activities and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Working as part of an experienced project delivery team, you will provide hands-on site leadership, coordinate trades and subcontractors and act as a key link between site operations and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
• Manage and coordinate site teams, trades and subcontractors, maintaining high standards of workmanship, productivity and site organisation.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider project team to monitor progress, identify potential issues and support the successful delivery of project milestones.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, quality requirements and agreed project standards.
• Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture on site, ensuring procedures, RAMS and safe working practices are consistently followed.
• Support site inspections, quality checks, progress reporting and the resolution of technical or operational issues as they arise.
• Coordinate materials, resources and site logistics to ensure works progress effectively and programme requirements are achieved.
• Build effective working relationships with project stakeholders, subcontractors and site personnel throughout the delivery of the project.

Candidate Profile

We are interested in speaking with experienced Site Supervisors, Site Managers or Construction Supervisors with a background in MEP, mechanical, electrical, building services or specialist construction projects.

• Previous experience supervising site activities within a construction, engineering or MEP environment.
• Strong experience coordinating trades, subcontractors and site personnel.
• A good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and project programmes.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements and site compliance.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider project delivery team.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced site environment.
• Flexibility to be based in Vaasa, Finland for the duration of the project.
