Steel Detailer Tekla

My client one of the leading suppliers of structural steel & cladding within the Northwest of Ireland, having been in operation for over 30 years. With an impressive project list and upcoming pipeline of works they are looking to add and experiened Steel Detailer to the Design team.

Reporting directly to department supervisor as part of the design team you will;

• Assist in the design & delivery of steel framed modular buildings Steel Fabrication / Specification
• Design and detail of steelwork for fabrication
• Day-to-day meetings with clients and internal engineering team members
• Work closely and take direction from structural engineer on design concepts
• Your role will involve the preparation and coordination of CAD models
• Ability to work on your own initiative

Qualifications and Experience:

• The candidate must have an academic qualification related to the post in either 3D CAD, TEKLA Structures, or equivalent experience
• Work experience in a 3D package such as AutoCAD, both 2D and 3D and Tekla
• Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Standards
• A sound understanding of manufacturing processes.

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience within a Manufacturing engineering environment
• Working experience of busy production environment
• Experience on preparing structural steel fabrication drawings
• In addition, the successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate their CAD ability through a portfolio of work and/or past industrial experience
