Company Accountant
Vickerstock are working with a leading construction company based in Armagh to recruit for a Company Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.
The role will be varied and will involve day to day transactions as well as management accounts preparation and reporting.
The Company Accountant will work closely with the Managing Director.
Your new role as a Company Accountant
Production of accurate multi-currency monthly management accounts
Maintenance & reconciliation of balance sheet & control accounts
Prepare and review monthly job costing reports with the commercial team
Management and processing of weekly & monthly payroll
Preparation of VAT returns (UK & ROI)
Management of PAYE, Pension, RCT & CIS returns and payments
Management of full day to day accounting duties including sales & purchase ledger (invoice processing & payments), multi-currency bank reconciliations, credit control, etc
Introduction & implementation of financial controls and best practices across the business
Monitor the Foreign Exchange market to ensure sufficient currency management across the business
Monthly business cash flow reporting along with cashflow management on all active jobs
Manage the implementation of a new stock management & POS software package
Compile & submit Invest NI grant claims
Liaising with external accountants as required
What you'll need to succeed as a Company Accountant
Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA)
Qualified by experience will also be considered
Proficient in Sage Line 50 and Excel.
Previous construction industry experience would be an advantage
Working knowledge of accounting in a multi-currency environment.
Excellent communicator with strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.
Self-motivated detail orientated individual who is able to work with limited supervision.
