Customs Compliance Coordinator

Our client is a successful manufacturing business who value relationships; with customer and suppliers they require a Customs Compliance Coordinator to work in their offices in Newtownards.

The Customs Compliance Co-ordinator will facilitate the compliance of import and export activity and meet the requirements of HMRC Regulations.

Your new role as a Customs Compliance Coordinator will include:

• Compliance of operating process/procedures for Duty Relief programs such as Customs Warehousing, Inward Processing Relief.
• Knowledge of the Trader Support Service Northern Ireland and the input process.
• Systems knowledge for the record keeping and compliance for the above Customs Processes.
• Internal audits of Customs Documentation.
• Record Keeping meeting HMRC guidance.
• Support the operations to resolve day to day Customs issues/queries.
• Completion of import clearance instructions.
• Completion of export entries.
• Support all members of the team with documentation support and adhoc analysis.

What you'll need to succeed as a Customs Compliance Coordinator

• 2 - 3 years HMRC Compliance knowledge
• Computer literacy skills, capability with Microsoft Excel, HMRC systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, effective written and verbal skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, building relationships with internal and external contacts such as HMRC, Freight Agents, Suppliers/Customers.
• Ability to be both a team player and using own initiative.
• Ability to evaluate workload, meet deadlines and balance multiple duties.
• Excellent MS Office skills
