Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a highly reputable manufacturing business on the appointment of a Dispatch & Transport Supervisor on a full-time permanent basis.
As the Dispatch Supervisor, you will have responsinility for a dispatch, intake, and shipments while overseeing the Dispatch team in line with targets set by the Logistics Manager.

In your new role:
- Supervise the department team, allocating tasks to maximise output and efficiency.
- Lead Weekly Action Reviews, communicating departmental requirements and key business updates effectively.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities, to facilitate the timely clearance of goods.
- Prepare and manage all despatch documentation, including packing lists, Chamber of Commerce documents, and required company stamps.
- Collaborate closely with the Purchasing department to align inbound bookings with operational material requirements and maintain the Transport Tracker for full traceability.
- Organise and coordinate domestic and international shipments (sea, air, road freight, and courier) for both inbound and outbound orders.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to resolve non-conforming documentation issues.
- Identify and implement operational improvements related to cost, quality, safety, and efficiency.
What you will need to succeed:
- 2 years' similar experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Confident communicator with leadership skills.
- Customs experience and understanding.
- Active forklift licence.
- SAGE experience - advantageous.
