Electrical Maintenance Engineer (dayshift)

Vickerstock are working in partnership with our Food Manufacturing client in Newtownards to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

Our client, a recipient of many awards, has a strong reputation within the food sector and is a household name across the UK and Ireland.

Duties will include

• Carrying out Planned Preventive Maintenance on all Machinery and Electrical systems.
• Responding to and prioritising breakdowns in line with Production requirements, carrying out fault-finding and remedial actions to minimise downtime.
• Carrying out Electrical installations of Machinery and Equipment across the site.
• Support the production team by providing technical support when necessary.
• Taking part in continuous improvement initiatives and contributing suggestions to maximise operational performance.
• Maintaining accurate documentation in relation to the above.

Requirements

• Time-Served Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship and/or relevant Electrical qualification.
• Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work well unsupervised as well as contributing as part of a team.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices within a manufacturing setting.
