Estimator | Magherafelt

Vickerstock are excited to work with one of NI's leading build contractors based in Magherafelt. Their scope of projects range from Commercial, Education, Agricultural, Residential and Healthcare sectors. This firm have grown significantly in recent years and are now looking to expand their commercial team through the recruitment of an experienced Estimator to support on project delivery throughout the UK and Ireland.

Your new role as an Estimator

In your new role, you will be working with the wider commercial team on wide scope of projects, to assist in establishing client's requirements and project briefs within the arranged time frame. You will be responsible for generating competitive cost projections, prepare tender and contract documents, ensuring that projects meet budgets set by the client, maximising profits, over see purchasing of materials and labour requirements, ensuring company policies are followed at all times and quality standards are met in line with the company and clients outline.

What you will need to succeed as an Estimator

• Hold a relevant construction related degree (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 3 years' experience of cost management within the construction industry
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
• Hold a Full Driving licence
• Ability to read CAD drawings
• Knowledge of Estimating software
• Proficient in Microsoft Packages i.e. Outlook, Exel and Word.

Desirable (Don't worry if you don't have these just yet):

• Chartered Surveyors Registration
• Experience in using CostX for tendering & take offs
• Knowledge of BIM software
