Estimator | Dromore

At Vickerstock we are currently working with a market leading contractor specialising in the manufacture and instilation of Architectural metalwork. This company provides products across a wide range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects in Northern Ireland and the UK. As a result of internal progression, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced Estimator.

Your new role as an Estimator

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will produce detailed and accurate take-offs, analyse quotes and estimate risks in the interest of the company, maximise revenue and secure future projects. You will work alongside the Design, Commercial & Operation teams to produce detailed tendering plans to client/ project deadlines.

What you will need to succeed as an Estimator

• Have at least 5 years relevant experience in the steel industry (structural or miscellaneous metalwork)
• 3rd level qualification in a relevant subject (Civil or Mechanical engineering)
• Familiar with modern fabrication processes and workshop practices, as well as on-site installation processes for fabricated components and assemblies.
• Experience of managing a small team of Estimators
