HSEQ Lead

Based: Outside Ballygawley, Co Tyrone - Travel to 2 UK Sites once in every 3 month period

Hours of work: 8am-5pm Mon to Thur and 8am-1pm on Friday

Our client is an established fast paced manufacturer with a strong local heritage of over 50 years trading in the local area. They are currently looking for an experienced and driven Lead HSEQ who can work across the company and also oversee their 2 UK sites. This is a company that values a friendly and positive work culture that is very team and collaboration orientated right through from manager level to operator.

The Role of HSEQ Lead

This role is a very hands-on position and would require you to be involved in the managing and implementing everything Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality. A site visit would be required to each of the 2 UK sites approximately once every 3 months. The Environmental aspect of the role is dealing with company carbon footprint, end of life on materials etc - where as the Quality aspect is looking at the full quality systems (9001) across the group. Sustainability and continuous improvement are core considerations in everything they do right across the company.

Your responsibilities as HSEQ Lead

  • The management of all ISO certifications and accreditations to ensure they are effectively maintained - 9001, 14001 and 45001
  • The implementation of the agreed Corporate Social Responsibility strategy through the development, tracking and delivery of agreed Key Performance Indicators and objectives.
  • Maintaining policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure they are put into place where required across the business and are documented in line with the standards set.

What you need to succeed as HSEQ Lead

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HSEQ Lead or HSEQ Manager type role in a fast-paced commercial manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH Qualified
  • Ability to carry out Auditing independently.
  • Ability to work to departmental budgets.
  • Excellent Planning/Organisational skills and an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to persuade and influence while maintaining a positive and inclusive work culture.
