Vickerstock are working with a leading civil engineer to recruit Graduate and Junior Civil Engineers across the South West of Ireland

Location: Cork, Kerry, Limerick and surrounding areas. Accommodation can be provided Monday to Friday

Role: Junior Civil Engineer

Sector: Water & Waste water

Your new role

As a Junior Civil Engineer you will work across the below areas:

• Site Supervision - including the supervision of subcontractors, ensuring works are completed according to company standards
• Quality - including quality checks, inspections, documentation and processes
• Project Management - taking part in progress meetings, project management documentation, ensuring projects are on time, on schedule and on budget
• Construction Software & Processes - using software including but not limited to AutoCAD, Procore, Aconex, TotalStation & more

You will:

• Work on a large-scale Water & Wastewater project in Munster
• Supervise subcontractors
• Review works on site and report back to management
• Perform quality checks
• Ensure regular documentation is completed
• Work on upgrades and maintenance to Water and Wastewater Plants and infrastructure

What you'll need to be successful

• At least 1 year of practical experience in Construction, Civil Engineering or a related field (your placement year counts!)
• Experience in Water, Wastewater, Utilities or Public Roads
• Willingness to learn new areas of construction and grow your career
• A full Irish or UK Driving Licence
• The right to work in Ireland or Northern Ireland indefinitely
• The ability to travel between sites in the South West of Ireland

Please note this role requires location flexibility and flexibility to work shift patterns if required
