Job description

Vickerstock are excited to be partnering with our Food Manufacturing (meat) client where integrity and trust is at the heart of the business on the appointment of Lairage Supervisor for their Primal Dungannon site.

Reporting to the Slaughter Hall Manager, the Lairage Supervisor will manage a small team and assist in the effective and efficient running of the Lairage Department for Beef and Lamb processing.

What a typical day as Lairage Supervisor will look like:

  • Animal welfare within the Lairage department.

  • Processing paperwork and permits.

  • Completion of departmental audits and KPIs.

  • Organisation of staff

  • Supervision of day-to-day duties associated with the Lairage.

  • Dealing with customers and audits

  • Dealing with any day-to-day issues/ problems that may arise.

Your essential ingredients:

  • Previous experience with beef and lamb animal handling either in Food Manufacturing or Farming

  • IT/systems knowledge

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous supervisory or people management experience
