Maintenance Engineer

£45k (36-hour work week)

Vickerstock are proudly working in partnership with our globally renowned manufacturing client.

They are on the lookout for Maintenance Engineers to join their team in Carrickfergus. This role is great in that allows for a better work/life balance than those offering continental shifts as in this role you would work only work 3 shifts per week (a total of 36 hours per week) and the rest of your time is your own.

Responsibilities for this role will include

• Formulating and executing Planned Maintenance Programmes for machinery/equipment on-site.
• Ensuring compliance with all pertinent legislation, prioritising the safety and functionality of machinery/equipment.
• Maintaining meticulous and up-to-date records of maintenance activities.
• Proposing and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions as part of continuous improvement endeavors.

What we are looking for

• An Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification (third level of higher).
• Demonstrable background in a Maintenance role, ideally within a Manufacturing facility.
• Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship.
• Proficiency in both Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance practices.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
