Maintenance Technician (Mon - Fri, dayshift)

Vickerstock are proudly working with our client, a leading service provider to water/wastewater sectors across the island of Ireland, to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for one of their newest sites. This is a great opportunity for somebody with plenty of Mechanical experience who wishes to join a quickly expanding firm.

The role itself

• Carrying out preventative Maintenance work on Plant Machinery/Equipment on site.
• Ensuring that a safe and clean working area is maintained.
• Liaising with and supervising sub-contractors whilst assisting in the Installation of new Machinery.
• Responding to equipment failures, carrying out fault-finding and repairs when necessary, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly with minimal downtime.
• Assisting in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of Planned Maintenance Programmes, and recommending process improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role, having carried out Mechanical Maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Time-Served Mechanical Apprenticeship and/or Third Level Engineering Qualification.
• Ability to work well both as part of a team and alone.
• Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety within an industrial setting.
