Vickerstock is working in partnership with a leading manufacturing firm based in Longford to assist them with the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer.

This position has a clear pathway set out to become part of the management team, so will suit someone with a minimum 2 years experience who has a clear hunger and desire to grow their career.

Your key responsibilities as a Manufacturing Engineer.

• To both introduce and continually develop Lean Manufacturing principles / continuous improvement techniques across fabrication and assembly areas.
• To provide technical support to production in the maintenance and improvement of quality and production efficiency
• Continue to monitor product quality standard and evaluations.
• To provide technical support to purchasing in the sourcing and development of sub-contract manufacturers.
• To carry out product testing prior to market launch to ensure all safety and quality requirements are met

As a Manufacturing Engineer, ideally you will have.

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar high volume/high quality environment.
• Thorough understanding and demonstrable experience of Lean Manufacturing techniques and introduction of these techniques.
