Manufacturing Engineer

Salary up to £35,000

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a local manufacturing firm at an exciting time of rapid expansion. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will optimise manufacturing processes to enhance overall productivity

Your new role

• Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance overall manufacturing performance.
• Lead and coordinate engineering projects related to process improvements, new product introductions, and equipment upgrades.
• Develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion within budget.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and reduce lead times.
• Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the smooth introduction of new products into the manufacturing process.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new products.
• Provide technical support to the production team, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to ensure smooth operations.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering related subject
• Experience in a similar manufacturing engineer role
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and process control.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) and other relevant engineering tools.
