Manufacturing Engineer

£35,000 to £40,000

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a global manufacturing company for the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will assist in manufacturing projects ensuring cost effectiveness and high-quality standards are met.

• Implement the most efficient and cost-effective production methods required for manufacture.
• New product introduction, design for manufacture reviews, establishing processes, production launch.
• Manage data creation including BOMS
• Coordinate with production, engineering and quality assurance departments to establish / implement containment and route cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
• Provide support to the Design team and supplier network.
• Analyse issues that arise from within Operations and propose improvements where required.
• Provide monthly reports.

What you'll need

• 5 years' experience within the heavy manufacturing industry
• Previous 3D CAD experience essential, preferably using Pro-Engineer or Creo.
• Good working knowledge of desk top publishing.
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMS.
