Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer

Co. Armagh

Salary up to £43,000

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer for the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer. Our client is entering an expansion stage and have clear progression routes to advance you career

Your new role as Manufacturing Engineer

  • Responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Implement the most efficient and cost-effective production methods required to manufacture products.
  • Analysing and reporting on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management
  • Coordinate with production and quality control to help identify any issues affecting production and establish what fixes are required.
  • Development of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Maintaining elements used within the Manufacturing Bill of Materials,
  • Ensure all associated paperwork and reports are maintained and kept up to date.
  • To assist in risk analysis across key assets.
  • Reviewing and calculating the costs of the different tools and equipment in the production process
  • Assist in the execution of engineering projects and tasks.
  • Design CNC programmes
  • Product cost reduction with process capability

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge on CNC programming
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA and Control plans
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
