Operations Director - Heavy metal machinery Build / Assembly

Tyrone, Northern Ireland

£60,000-75,000 + Healthy Bonus + Healthcare + Benefits

Our client is an established local successful heavy metal engineering company who is part of a much larger international group. They currently have investment and development plans with the view of expanding and are seeking a very driven, knowledgeable Operations Director to join their senior team. The position of Operations Director is to help effectively manage production operations across the business, with a strong focus towards continuous improvement.

Essential criteria for this role of Operations Director role:

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience people management / people directing experience within a very senior heavy metal machinery Build / Assembly environment - across large operations teams in excess of 30+
  • A proven strategic approach and the ability to present such at a senior level
  • Proven lean / Continuous improvement experience with strong past examples in this area
  • Ability to set and adhere to targets
  • A relevant 3rd level qualification in an engineering related subject
  • Strong communication and people skills
