Salary: Up to €70,000

10-20% bonus, €8000 car allowance, LIA healthcare scheme, pension

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a specialist building products supplier based in Dublin on the appoint of an experienced Procurement Manager.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will lead the centralised procurement function for the company in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring continuous product supply that meets customer requirements. You will drive and support procurement objectives of the business and implement best practice in line with all relevant legislation, regulation and in line with company policy and procedure.

In your new role:

  • Accountable for implementation of effective procurement practices and meeting business requirements for assurance of supply, quality, service & cost
  • Partner closely internally, with commercial and operations teams to ensure continuous effective delivery of our customer requirements
  • Develop and manage a strong, focused procurement management team
  • Ensure maximum performance of team through effective KPI management
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, metric, and performance
  • Achieve service level and perfect order KPI targets
  • Oversee stock control and stock profiling functions
  • Achieve stock targets
  • Responsible for the ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures within the procurement function relating to performance management, Health & Safety, SOP's and SLA's

What you will need to succeed:

  • Previous management experience of a procurement and reorder function
  • Demonstration of strong leadership skills, with ability to support and motivate a team
  • Recognised Procurement qualification desirable
  • Strategically focused with strong financial acumen
  • Self-motived, good interpersonal and communication skills - must have natural ability to build strong cross functional relationships
  • Strong time management, organisation and planning ability
  • Proven track record of delivering results against KPI's
  • Strong customer focus and a commitment to providing a quality service
  • Commitment to learn and develop new skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong IT skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel)
