Vickerstock are working in partnership with a Tier 1 Contractor based in Dublin on the appointment of a Procurement Manager.

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director you will be responsible for providing procurement support to Project and Preconstruction teams to deliver improved supply chain performance, mitigate supply chain risk and support the maintenance or enhancement of targeted Project and/or Business Unit margin.

In your new role:

• Setting procurement strategies, developing tender lists, supporting mid-bid reviews & tender adjudications
• Managing and mentoring the Preconstruction & Project teams by producing/issuing tender enquiries, undertaking tender evaluations, chairing bid/pre-appointment meeting and preparing approval
• Continually monitor supplier performance
• Provide monthly reports to Supply Chain Director on key operational procurement issues.

What you will need to succeed:

• A minimum of 8 years experience working in a senior procurement role within construction
• Extensive industry knowledge, particularly building materials & products
• Working Knowledge of supporting tender/work winning efforts
• CIPS Qualified or equivalent
