Production Manager

Vickerstock are working in partnership with our Manufacturing client in the Greater Belfast area to assist them with the recruitment of a Production Manager.

This role offers a good work/life balance being that it's a Monday to Friday dayshift role with no shift working or weekend work and would be well suited to an individual who has previous experience gained in a similar role within a busy production facility.

Duties will include:

• Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring optimal resource utilisation and timely completion of production targets.
• Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Allocate resources effectively, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with procurement to ensure material availability.
• Supervise and mentor production staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Oversee the production budget, implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and safety.
• Provide regular updates on production performance, collaborate with various departments, and address stakeholder concerns.

Requirements:

• Proven background of leading/managing production teams within a Manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams effectively, with strong interpersonal skills for cross-departmental coordination.
• Data-driven decision-making skills with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
