Vickerstock are working in partnership with one of Irelands largest and long-established companies within their specialist field who serve within local, national, UK and middle east markets. They are recruiting for a Production Floor Manager on a fixed term contract to join them at their site based in Co Monaghan.

Reporting to the Head of Operation you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production area, ensuring that all production line activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves leading a team of General Operatives, supporting their development, and ensuring operational targets are met in a fast-paced food production environment.

Key duties

• Supervise and coordinate General Operatives across multiple production lines to meet daily targets.
• Oversee production activities (sorting, packaging, labelling, assembly) ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards.
• Monitor output and quality, resolving issues promptly to minimise downtime and waste.
• Provide hands-on support through training, coaching, performance reviews, and onboarding of new employees.
• Manage shift schedules and task allocation in line with production demands.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure accurate completion of all production documentation in accordance with SOPs and internal quality systems.
• Oversee equipment setup and changeovers, ensuring safe and proper use of machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and team performance.

We are looking for

• Previous supervisory experience within Food Production environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations, HAACP, and GMP.
• Proficient in production planning, staff coordination, and quality control.
• Familiarity with manual handling and equipment operation.

Working hours will be Monday - Friday 8am to 5.30pm, salary in return will be an hourly rate of €19.50.
