Project Engineer - Lean Manufacturing

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing plant, a global leader in their field for the recruitment of a Project Engineer. Reporting to the Project Manager you will work on projects across production operations with a focus on lean manufacturing

Your new role

• Lead lean manufacturing projects across the plant with a focus on production.
• Root cause analysis to deliver solutions to project issues.
• Manage kpi's which demonstrate value, performance, reliability, efficiency along with project delivery measures.
• Prepare process documentation and operating instructions.
• Develop processes and workflows, to devise, implement and test new strategies to help optimise productivity.
• Conduct feasibility reports for projects and present management for approval.
• Liaise with other departments to gain technical knowledge to understand performance bottlenecks and identify improvement opportunities.
• Identifying future capacity demands and develop programmes to meet business needs.
• Implement manufacturing improvement strategies and problem solving.
• Analyse data to identify improvement areas.

What you'll need

• Degree in an engineering related subject
• 5 years' experience gained in a manufacturing environment in a similar role
• Project Management Experience
• Experience in root cause analysis & fault-finding experience on automated machinery & electrical systems
