Quality Engineer - This is a newly formed role and will encompass some H&S duties also

Magherafelt - Role fully based on site

Full time permanent role

Hours of work 8.30-5.00 Monday to Thursday with 8.00 - 1.00 on Fridays

On Offer:

• £33,000-43,000 base depending on experience levels
• A healthy weekly timekeeping bonus of up to £35 a week
• Occasional Overtime - at time and a half rates
• 33 days holidays a year
• Standard Pension

Our client is 50 strong SME, established manufacturing / engineering company - They have invested a lot in top notch capital equipment like lasers etc. Due to growth and heavy workloads, they have a requirement for the new role of Quality Engineer, to support across manufacturing and in dealing with Suppliers. The role reports directly into the Business Owner / Manager and will work with various stakeholders right across the business.

Role and responsibilities of Quality Engineer:

• Identify and report areas of non-conformance and identify improvements
• Working with customers and suppliers to maintain a high-quality product
• Manage equipment servicing schedule
• Undertake internal audits
• Maintain ISO 9001 Accreditation
• Liaise with HSE sub-contractor to ensure adherence to Health, Safety and Environment guidelines
• Ensure employee inductions and training are carried out and that all employees comply with Health & Safety guidelines
• Accurately and promptly log and investigate all accidents and near misses

Essential for this Quality Engineer Vacancy:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality Engineering within an Engineering environment
• Experience in the auditing process for ISO 9001 Accreditation
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work under own initiative
