As Quality Manager you will report to the Senior Quality Manager and be involved with the management of Quality Assurance and Control teams. You will ensure products are produced to the highest level of quality.
Key duties

  • Leading, managing and developing the quality team to make the best use of resources and skills.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to continually grow and enhance the team knowledge.
  • Ensuring all aspects of production are carried out to exact quality specifications.
  • Supervise all technical and quality staff.
  • Liaise with customers on product specifications and complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with DAFM, BRC, Bord Bia and customer specifications continually review existing. HACCP systems in line with legislative & customer requirements.
  • Manage customer complaints, investigation and implementation of necessary corrective actions.
  • Monitor the various stages of production and ensure that quality checks are being carried out and compliance with the HACCP system.
  • Ensure internal audits are carried out and non-conformances rectified in identified time scales.
  • Keep up to date with food legislation and any changes.
  • Responsible for supervising all checks deemed necessary to ensure that the quality and safety standards BRC, Bord Bia and customer requirements are met constantly and consistently.
  • Deputising in the absence of the Senior Quality Manager.


Criteria

  • Third Level Qualification is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years management experience in Quality within Food Manufacturing.
  • In dept knowledge of all relevant quality standards.
  • Strong people leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
