Vickerstock is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client's dedicated team to work across their business mentoring the younger staff and bringing experience to the table.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our projects, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of resources, materials, and finances. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost control.
• Conduct cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering.
• Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and variations.
• Assist in the procurement process, including negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to project stakeholders.
• Assist in the resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
• Continuously assess and manage project risks related to costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and legal requirements.
• Proficient in the use of industry-standard quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
