Senior Civil Engineer | Dublin
Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with a well-established and growing multidisciplinary civil and structural engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer for their Dublin office. This appointment comes as a result of continued project success and sustained growth across Ireland and the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to take on a senior technical role within a collaborative design-led environment, working on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and development projects. The position offers strong career progression, technical autonomy, and the chance to mentor junior engineers while contributing to the ongoing development of the Dublin team.

Your new role as Senior Civil Engineer
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of civil infrastructure and development projects across Ireland and the UK. The consultancy works across multiple sectors, offering you exposure to both technically challenging and high-profile schemes.

Projects typically include:

• Residential and mixed-use developments, from small infill sites to large-scale masterplanned schemes.
• Commercial and industrial developments, including logistics, manufacturing, and office projects.
• Education, healthcare, and public sector infrastructure.
• Roads and active travel schemes, including junction improvements and urban streetscape projects.
• Sustainable drainage and flood risk management solutions, incorporating SuDS and nature-based design.
• Regeneration and brownfield redevelopment projects with complex constraints.

You will be involved from early feasibility and planning stages through detailed design and construction support, working closely with architects, planners, and other engineering disciplines. The role offers a strong balance of hands-on design, project leadership, and client engagement, with the opportunity to influence design outcomes and support the continued growth of the Dublin office.

What you'll need to succeed as a Senior Civil Engineer
To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant post-graduate experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment.
• Strong technical expertise in civil infrastructure design, particularly drainage and highways.
• Experience working on Irish projects and familiarity with local authority approvals.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Working toward, or already holding, professional chartership (Engineers Ireland or equivalent).
