Senior Finance Manager

Newry

Vickerstock are currently working alongside our leading FMCG Client to recruit for a Senior Finance Manager based in the Newry area on a permanent basis.

The Senior Finance Manager will work alongside the General Manager and the Group Finance Team.

The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for the following;

  • Delivery of analysis and packs to support the achievement of company goals
  • Review and sign off weekly and monthly P & L
  • Provide ad hoc information and advice to the management team
  • Financial and operational analysis - delivery of in-depth analysis, including but not limited to: labour analysis, waste, yield, margins, variances, overhead spend, currency analysis
  • Produce, analyse and distribute key reports to provide value-added financial information
  • Capital Expenditure - assisting in preparation of business cases, approval requests.
  • Budget and forecast -annual budget preparation, and monthly forecast.
  • Management of 1 direct report
  • Operation of Sage 200
  • Supporting of external audits and internal group accounting and control
  • Group reporting

The Senior Finance Manager must be able to demonstrate to following;

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3+ years post-qualification experience
  • The ability to build and maintain internal departmental relationships, whilst challenging data and searching for cross departmental opportunities.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a growing fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisation / time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • FMCG manufacturing or Planning would be desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of using Microsoft Excel and Materials Management Systems
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to accurately provide and analyse reports
