Job description

Vickerstock are proud to be partnering with a leading facilities management company, to recruit 2 SHEQ Officers for their base in Castledawson.

As a SHEQ Officer you will report to the SHEQ Manager and collaborate closely with all relevant departments, particularly with the operational functions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of all SHEQ policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.

  • Embed a culture of SHEQ within CFM and its employees, including thorough induction processes.

  • Develop and implement site strategies to enhance SHEQ performance and support our sustainability goals.

  • Maintain ISO standards and accreditations, driving continuous improvement through robust non-conformance procedures.

  • Monitor SHEQ compliance across sites, implementing improvements and utilizing available technology effectively.

  • Coordinate accident/incident reporting and investigation procedures, establishing root causes and preventive measures.

  • Lead the implementation of legal, insurance, and corporate standards, ensuring alignment with CFM's strategic direction.

  • Conduct internal audits and site inspections to ensure policy adherence and identify areas for improvement.

  • Increase awareness of SHEQ and quality standards through training sessions and coaching.

  • Represent CFM's safety performance to external parties, promoting our commitment to excellence.

Our Requirements:Education / Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar HSE or SHEQ role is essential.

  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is required.

  • Auditor experience is desirable.

  • Experience with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) is desirable.

  • A full UK driving license is essential.

  • Recognized qualification in Environmental Management or working towards one.

  • Practical knowledge of quality improvements and techniques.
