Vickerstock is working in partnership with is leading-edge food manufacturer, highly committed to quality, service and innovation of their products with the appointment of Specifications Technologist based in Dungannon. They pride themselves on their exceptional speed to market standards working to develop and pioneer new products to follow current market trends.

Working as part of a busy growing quality team, the Specifications Technologist will provide support in driving continuous improvement and provide guidance to the teams on site with adherence to relevant standards, company policies and legal requirements.

What your typical shift will look like as Specifications Technologist:

• Development of accurate and comprehensive Finished Product Specifications for Customers, both in company own format and the use of customer own specification portals.
• Development and amendment of internal product and packaging specifications and labelling systems on time.
• Ensure that the team are fully aware of all updates to specifications.
• Agreeing the product specifications with customers.
• Reviewing and approving all new and updated artworks.
• Working with packaging suppliers and customers to ensure that the artworks are correct and delivered on time.
• Keep supplier approval and raw material specifications up to date.
• Ensure specification reviews are completed as required.

What you need to succeed:

• Strong experience in writing specifications
• At least 1 year's previous quality assurance experience (food)
• HACCP Level 2
• Food Safety Level 3
• IT / Microsoft Office proficient.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in using retailer and brand specification portals would be ideal.
