Job description

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a 100% green, renewable energy manufacturing firm based in Portadown on the appointment of a Supply Chain Manager.
Based in their brand new, modern site in Portadown you will be responsible for creating strong supply chain partnerships, strategic supply chain optimisation, and driving long-term cost efficiencies.

In your new role:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies, optimising procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations to reduce cost
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all suppliers negotiating contracts and terms to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials
  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Oversee inventory levels, implementing efficient inventory management practices
  • Develop contingency plans and mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions, shortages, or quality issues, ensuring continuity of operations
  • Work closely with production, logistics, finance, and quality assurance, to streamline processes and drive collaboration across departments

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience working in a senior procurement role within a fast paced, manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with ERP systems
  • A proven track record of implementing supply chain strategies to optimise operations and reduce costs
