​The pandemic undoubtedly affected multiple industries with their day-to-day routines and workflow...the recruitment industry being one of them. Recruitment within organisations had ground to a halt and candidates were all on furlough, therefore moving jobs at this time would not have been feasible. 

However, Vickerstock’s Glenda Reddington had seen first-hand, consultants making the decision to leave the industry and take up positions during the pandemic that hadn’t ceased work, such as sales, administration, and call center type roles to keep money coming in.

Internally, Vickerstock has seen a significant rise in individuals applying to recruitment roles who have been out of the industry for almost 2 years. However, many have expressed their concerns regarding, ‘will I be able to pick up where I left off?’
