Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper

Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a leading fit out client based in Lisburn who require an Assistant Accountant/Book Keeper on a full time permanent basis.

Your new role as Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper :

  • Manage both Sales and Purchase ledgers in Sage
  • Assist Accountant with preparation of monthly PAYE, VAT, CIS returns and annual accounts
  • Assist with weekly and monthly payroll
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • New supplier set-up along with company/bank/VAT checks
  • General bookkeeping and administration duties

What you'll need to succeed as Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper

  • Experience in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Finance and Accounting skills
  • Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver tight deadlines around the Financial calendar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Good Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word and Outlook
