Area Sales Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join a worldwide leader, who distribute materials and services to the construction and industrial markets.

They are an innovative company who have positioned themselves as market leaders within their industry.


The Area Sales Manager will manage core customers, new customers and sales opportunities across: Co Armagh, Co Tyrone, Co Fermanagh, Co Londonderry/Derry and Donegal.

A full driving licence is required for this role as a company car is provided with this role.

The Area Sales Manager will have responsibility for:

  • Generation and management of sales leads, prospects and customers
  • Own and achieve / exceed sales targets
  • Main point of contact for customer in relation to all queries
  • Input into overall sales & marketing, provision of forecasts, pricing and promotion strategies
  • New business development within a defined territory.
  • Initiate strategies to improve and grow sales performance
  • Identify and implement ways to enhance customer experience
  • Setup and attend trade shows as needed to promote product and develop relationships
  • Effectively use CRM and other internal systems to ensure customer information is kept up to date.

Criteria/Essential Experience

  • Experience of working as a sales professional from within building materials sales would be an advantage
  • Highly strong commercial, financial and business acumen
  • Strong diary management, appointment making and area management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to gather and share market intel with internal sales and Branch Sales Managers
  • Ability to grow and develop lapsed / dormant accounts
