Vickerstock are working in partnership with an industry leading, design and manufacturing firm based in Dungannon on the appointment of a Buyer.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for purchasing materials in order to meet production deadlines.

In your new role:

• Develop relationships with key suppliers negotiating prices, lead times and managing material shortages
• Build relationships both internally and externally to improve cost, quality and supply
• Analyse supplier performance ensuring all KPI targets are met
• Working closely with the procurement team to purchase components to meet demand
• Working to the build programme schedule to ensure that strict and tight deadlines are adhered to
• Generating progress reports and attend regular meetings to discuss

What you will need to succeed:

• At least 1 year working within a purchasing department within a manufacturing background
• Sound IT skills (particularly excel)
• A good understanding of procurement regulations
